Introduction to motor bearings

Motor products have become an indispensable part of our life. No matter what type of motor product, if it is to make it work, the key part is the bearing that can drive all mechanical rotation.

A bearing is a part that supports a shaft, it can guide the rotation of the shaft, and it can also withstand the idling parts of the shaft. There are four types of bearings commonly used in motors, rolling bearings, sliding bearings, joint bearings and oil bearings. The most common motor bearings are rolling bearings, also known as deep groove ball bearings.

1. The precision of the bearing

The accuracy of the bearing refers to the tolerance range of the bearing. The higher the accuracy, the smaller the tolerance range. Bearing accuracy is divided into P0/P6/P5/P4/P2, where P0 accuracy is the conventional accuracy level, which will not be displayed after the general model, and the smaller the number after the remaining accuracy P letter, the higher the accuracy level, and the tolerance value smaller. The precision grades selected for conventional motor bearings are P5 and P4 grades.

2. Bearing clearance

Bearing clearance is divided into radial clearance and axial clearance. When the deep groove ball bearing has a large radial clearance, it has the performance of an angular contact bearing and can bear a certain axial load.

The numerical value of the conventional clearance is C0, the larger the clearance, the greater the shaking of the bearing, and the noise generated during operation will be larger than the conventional standard clearance. The clearance value selected for conventional motor bearings is C0 clearance.
