Bearing clearance is also known as bearing clearance. Bearing clearance is an important parameter in the use of motor bearings. Too small working clearance will cause fever or even high temperature lock, too much working clearance will produce vibration, reduce the service life of bearings. The high temperature of motor bearings and bearing noise are the problems often encountered by motor manufacturers. In addition to the factors of the bearing itself, the processing quality, assembly process and fitting relationship of other parts related to the motor and bearing will affect the final assembly effect to different degrees.

The no-clearance operation of bearings is an ideal state to be achieved in the assembly process. Some motor manufacturers will adopt the real matching method to adjust the working clearance of bearings for large specifications. However, considering the tolerance zone factors of specially configured parts, the cost of realizing the good condition of bearing clearance by the real matching method is high. If the axial spring element is used to adjust the bearing, it can also achieve no clearance operation. The spring element is generally located between the bearing cover and the outer ring of the axial swimming bearing.

Under the requirements of the motor's working condition, the motor bearing can bear a certain bidirectional axial force in addition to the radial load.

The bearings at both ends of small motor are ball bearings, so the problem of swimming must be considered. The medium motor adopts cylindrical roller bearings at the load end and ball bearings at the non-load end. Deep groove ball bearings are generally used as positioning end bearings and do not have the ability of axial swimming. Cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used at the load end, which bear large radial load and have the characteristics of axial swimming.
