Requirements for bearings for power tools

1. Design requirements

Electric tool bearings generally use the inner and outer circular diameter equal, the same ball diameter of the deep groove ball bearings, this design can make the bearing in high-speed operation uniform force, smooth rotation, for the high-speed, high load, high-precision requirements of electric tools is particularly important. Ordinary bearings generally use open double row angular contact ball bearings or open double row roller bearings.

2. Material requirements

The material of electric tool bearings is generally high-speed steel (HSS), which has the characteristics of high hardness, high wear resistance, high precision and high strength, and can adapt to the high-speed and high-precision working environment. The material of ordinary bearings is generally carbon steel or alloy steel.

3. Manufacturing requirements

Electric tool bearing manufacturing process requirements are very high, the manufacturing accuracy reaches ABEC-9 level or even higher, and there are also higher requirements in material selection, processing technology, heat treatment process and so on. The accuracy of ordinary bearings only needs to be at the level of ABEC-1 or ABEC-3.
