Rolling bearings often work under high-speed and heavy-load conditions. After long-term use, the rolling elements and raceways will experience wear, ablation, cracking, fatigue spalling, and spots. The inspection of rolling bearings is generally not disassembled. It should be cleaned during inspection, and the quality can be judged through external inspection, idling inspection and internal clearance inspection.
(1) External inspection
When the following conditions are found, they should be replaced or repaired.
①Steel balls, rollers and inner and outer raceways have changed their original luster due to ablation.
② Scratches, scratches, scratches and abnormal wear on the inner and outer raceways of the bearing.
③ On the inner and outer raceways of the bearing, steel balls and rollers have cracks, metal delamination, scale peeling and a large number of black spots.
④ There are penetrating cracks and missing or loose rivets on the cage.
⑤ The notch of the cage holding the steel ball is worn too much, and the steel ball can fall out by itself.
⑥ The wear depth of the end face of the bearing cage exceeds.
If there are only tiny corrosive black spots on the bearing and the cage has slight defects without affecting the rotation, it can still be used continuously.
(2) Idling inspection
Run the bearing idling, and check whether the bearing rotation is light and flexible, and whether there is any noise, stagnation and jamming. The unevenness of bearing rotation can be judged from the feeling in the hand.
(3) Internal clearance inspection
The wear of ball bearings can be determined by checking the radial and axial clearances to see if they are within the specified range of values.
