What are the meanings of ls, rz and rs in bearings respectively?

Deep groove ball bearing is the most common type of rolling bearing. The basic deep groove ball bearing consists of an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of steel balls and a set of cages. Deep groove ball structure is divided into sealed and open structure, open refers to the bearing does not have a sealing structure, and sealed type deep groove ball is divided into dust seal and oil seal. The dust proof sealing cover is made of steel plate stamping, which only prevents dust from entering the bearing raceway. Oil-proof type for contact oil seal, can effectively prevent the bearing grease spill.

LS: bearing side with contact seal, inner ring without sealing groove;

RZ: Bearing side with low friction seal with steel plate lined synthetic rubber (non-contact type);

RS: Bearing side with synthetic rubber or polyurethane contact seal (contact type).

Here refers to the sealing and bearing contact and not contact is not in contact with the bearing inner ring, RS type of bearing seal and bearing inner ring close contact, good sealing effect, like oil seal structure, the RS model of bearing could save the mechanical structure of oil seal, imports of RS series bearing sealing effect is better. RZ bearing sealing ring does not contact with the inner ring of the bearing, there is a gap, this structure only plays the role of dust-proof, and can not be sealed, the bearing is generally used in mechanical structure with oil seal device. Because of the friction between the sealing ring and the inner ring, the limit speed of RS is lower than that of RZ type without contact and friction. RZ can reach the limit speed of open bearings.
