The original list of deep groove ball bearings is radial ball bearings, which are the most widely used rolling bearings. It is characterized by small frictional resistance and high speed. It can be used on parts that bear radial loads or joint loads that act simultaneously in radial and axial directions, and can also be used on parts that bear axial loads, such as small-power motors, Automotive and tractor gearboxes, machine tool gearboxes, electric tools, etc. For sealed deep groove ball bearings, there are rubber cover seals and iron cover seals. Many customers do not know how to distinguish the difference between these two types. Next, Kent Bearing will introduce it to you.
The function of the bearing sealing cover is mainly to prevent the intrusion of external foreign matter (solid foreign matter, liquid foreign matter) and prevent the loss of bearing lubricant.
There are two types of seals for the bearing seal cover:
One is the non-contact sealing cover (the sealing cover and the inner ring are not in contact), including the stamped steel sealing cover (iron sealing) and the non-contact rubber sealing cover.
Advantages: dustproof, high relative speed, relatively low noise effect of metal sealing cover, relatively low price.
Disadvantages: It cannot prevent the intrusion of liquid foreign objects.
The second is the contact seal cover (single-lip or multi-lip contact between the seal cover and the inner ring of the bearing), including contact rubber seal cover and labyrinth contact seal cover.
Advantages: dustproof, anti-liquid foreign matter, high mute effect.
Disadvantages: slightly lower speed, slightly higher price.
Therefore, there is no difference between good and bad seal covers of deep groove ball bearings, only the difference between fit and inappropriate. For example: it is unnecessary to use a contact rubber sealing cover in a clean environment, which will only increase the extra cost of the manufacturer.
